special interest religious groups in Oz.

the government is touting to special interest religious groups now since they favour what they have to say over the rest of us.

when the att general dept takes over the oflc u will see more art films getting refused

    movies like irreversible and romance.

they will waiv their appeal fees for having film ratings reviewed, isn't them having standing enough for fucksake, no we gotta waive thier fees now. the government favours them over everyone else.

why not they vote and have the same attitudes to sex films and erotica has that assclown sen. Harradine.

Re: special interest religious groups in Oz.

Religious groups seeking and exercising political influence are potentially far more dangerous to society than any amount of (non-violent) pornography. Religion promotes ignorance, sexism, violence (in the guise of discipline / self defence / national security) and complete and unquestioning submission to religious authority and religious dogma. Evangelical / fundamentalist Christianity is no better than Islamic extremism. Look no further than the US or the Middle East to see the results of letting religion infiltrate government.

We must resist interferance by minority religious groups on every front, or they will slowly chip away at our democracy, our institutions and our culture until they have forced us all to conform to their prehistoric ideals. Yes, religion really does suck, and not in a good way.

(Yeah, I know this might sound a bit paranoid, but frankly I think we have reason to be.)
