The OFLC is required by law, to apply current community standards when classifying explicit erotic films.

No! I don't know anyone who has!

 So the OFLC are supposed to represent Australian adults but just do what they want without asking us what we actually think? What a joke! Who do they think they are???

I'm so sick and tired of little minority groups with their little minority views holding the power in our community and dictating to me what I can and can't do.

No I have never been surveyed or even asked to participate in a survey such as this.

It would have to be one of the olny things I havent been surveyed on. You cant walk through the city without being asked to comment on something. Obviously they know what publics answer will be and dont want to hear it.

I don't think the OFLC knows what current community standards are, let alone care. This will be public servants just doing their 9am-4pm job. Under staffed and under motivated. It's time for the Director of the OFLC and respective MP's to do what they get paid for- represent the friggin community!

No - but it would be a good opportunity to right some wrongs.  I think this song about the OFLC is more accurate than what they consider to be the view of the "average Australian".

They may just be neurotic Or possible psychotic:  Considering how much violence the OLFC considers to be non-offensive only gives greater weight to the plausibility of this theory on the OLFC

 

I dont know anyone that has either!  I have never seen any inoformation on surveys at all.

No I havent or do I know anyone who has,The Office of Film and Literature Classification sit in their own little world and believe they know whats right for us Australians, They DO NOT!!!! They have no idea. They would much rather us watch people get killed than watch someone make love. Where is the sence in this?? I dont believe they survey anyone but the people in their absent mind set ways.

Visit the OFLC's website at http://www.oflc.gov.au/ and e-mail them with your concerns. They are suppose to reply to all correspondance within 30 days (I think).

 

They also canvas the public regarding the classification guidelines every few years. The last time was in 2004. I sent a long e-mail with my thoughts on a variety of related topics. You can do the same any time. Writing to politicians is also essential. 

Surveys are not down in the country areas so only city people have a say, If they want real results its about time they spoke to the bush people aswell

I can't say I agree with writing slanderous songs about people or organisations, but I agree that the OFLC should be undertaking regular research into the poeple's views on key issues that impact the decisions they make in their role as film classifiers.

Not once have I or anyone I know been surveyed!! or even heard of a survey going on this topic!

They wouldn't dare ask me to participate in a survey, I am too broadminded for them.
